The Year In Golf
Well, so much for the promise of more golf reports this year. As you may have guessed, there wasn't another o-hole-ne to report but consider the last few rounds as indicative of my year in golf.
Before a recent weekend of golf (and drinking) with my brother to celebrate his turning 40, the wife and I played nine at the "other" course in town. I had 5 tap-in pars (but bogeyed both of the par 5s) to shoot 39.
Played a really nice local course near my brother and struggled to break 90. Played one of the nicest courses near my brother the next day and again, struggled to break 90. We had a great time, which kinda made up for our "Duke Out" event a month before getting rained out.
Played a solo (what I hope was not my last for the season) nine at the "home" course in town last weekend. A bit windy, but very pleasant temperature. Had THREE birdies to shoot even par for the first and only time of the year.
